Builders’ dust needs two passes
Most interwar semis round here have a rear extension, and plenty of our deep cleans follow the builders out of the door. Construction dust is fine and slightly alkaline, and it lands twice: once before you clean, and again the next day as the last of it drifts down off door frames and curtain rails. We work from the top down with the floors last, then go over surfaces a second time once the air has settled. Our vacuum is filtered, so fine dust gets caught instead of blown round the room.

The places a weekly clean never reaches
Inside cupboards and drawers. Behind and under the fridge and washing machine, if they pull out. Extractor filters and the tops of kitchen units, skirtings scrubbed with a brush, door frames, both sides of every radiator, and window frames, sills and runners. Scale comes off anything the water touches, and bathroom grout gets brushed, which by itself can take an hour. With the team already in the house, carpet cleaning priced per room can be added to save another trip. Ovens are booked and priced on their own.
Three questions that set the hours
We ask how many bedrooms, how long since the last thorough clean, and whether one thing in particular is bothering you. Bedrooms tell us the size. The gap since the last clean tells us how bad the kitchen and bathrooms will be, and those are where deep cleans overrun, seldom the bedrooms. The third question is the most useful of all. Someone who says the shower grout has annoyed her for a year has just told us where to start.
A full day on site
